I haven’t updated in a few months, but Aurelia continues to fight this cancer and win. For that we are incredibly grateful and we will continue to focus on beating this. Nearly all of our winter activities take place outside as it’s easier to ensure her health when outdoors. It’s much harder for her to pick up a cold or the flu when outside, so we are only social in outdoor environments. Aurelia has lots of energy daily, but we still occasionally have a down day. Her body has handled most of this chemo incredibly well, so a few low days are expected. We have started to talk to her team about end of treatment and I can hardly believe this conversation is even taking place!! If everything continues smoothly, Aurelia could be done sometime in late summer or early autumn. We’ve made it a long way and we aren’t there yet, but having a slight light at the end of the tunnel is a huge motivator for all of us.
